work & Practice
Her practice engages with temporal ecology, redefining progress not as triumph over entropy, but as the systematic transfer of disorder onto ecologies, species, and futures unable to resist. Drawing from thermodynamics and post-industrial theory, she transforms abstract concepts—entropy, tipping points, extinction debt—into fragile material archives through cyanotype, lampworking glass, and installation.
Yang's work has been presented internationally in London, Paris, Beijing, Lecce, and more. Working primarily with glass, a material that embodies both transparency and fragility, she constructs symbolic worlds that materialize the hidden temporal costs of development while grounding them in intimate personal resonance.
